Beautifully designed, Villa Flamands Bay has elements of the typical vacation villas you will find all over St Barts, yet it also has some unique features if you’re looking for something a little different. A short walk from restaurants and the soft sand and turquoise waters of Flamand Beach, and a short drive from the island’s capital, Gustavia.

With its gray roof and white walls, Villa Flamands Bay first seems similar to many other villas, but look closer and you’ll see its unique, well-designed features that set this villa apart. Set over two floors, with the living area above and bedrooms below, the rectangular building reaches out to the bay thanks to its rounded terrace whose crowning glory is the wonderful infinity pool in the center, flanked by a sundeck on either side where guests can sunbathe all day while admiring the gorgeous views.

Inside, an open living space includes a lounge area to one end, dining table in the convivial heart of the room, and kitchen to the other end. Set under a traditional vaulted white wood ceiling, a playful and bright element is added by the orange feature walls at either end, while the hardwood floors (a rare treat for St Barts) add warmth. The very modern kitchen with glossy gray cabinets and stone-faced island might look out of place anywhere else, but not here.

At the back of the living space a calming pond sits by the top of the beautiful floating staircase that leads to the bedroom wing. A stone wall follows the stairs down to an indoor garden that further promotes a tropical, relaxed atmosphere. Walk one way and you reach the grand Master Bedroom, while the other direction takes you to the equally grand, only slightly smaller, second bedroom. Both have four-poster king beds, private terraces, sea views, and lovely bathrooms that are semi-open to the bedroom, featuring massive walk-in showers.
