The quiet location of Villa Rose Dog, set on the Deve hillside in Vitet, provides not only a sense of privacy but breathtaking views spanning from Petit Cul de Sac, all the way around to Toiny Bay. It’s those views that take centerstage in this modern, yet luxurious vacation rental villa, and while seclusion is the name of the game here, guests will never feel isolated with restaurants, beaches and shops not far away.

While there are similarities to the traditional St Barths architecture, the pyramid-shaped roofs of Villa Rose Dog are a weathered brown, not red, allowing the entire villa to meld into the hillside better than its counterparts, further complementing the sense of privacy that Rose Dog offers. The same can be said for the tiered levels of the property – there are three tiers, giving private spaces for all guests to enjoy, while the central living space is the hub for gathering and having fun. Here, the long infinity pool spans the entire terrace, where the inside spaces spill to the outside, allowing guests to sit and dip their feet into the pool from the covered dining area.

Inside, on this central tier, it is one large open space with traditional Caribbean vaulted ceilings accentuating the ceiling height. One half is given as the relaxation zone with its comfy sofas and TV, while the kitchen sits in the other half with informal seating in front, and the main dining table on the covered terrace, adjoining the pool. Of course, the views are also incredible from the inside, but are perhaps best enjoyed when relaxing in the pool.

The vaulted ceilings of the living area continue through into the two master bedrooms, giving a slightly rustic feel that contrasts to the more striking lines of the modern furniture and decorations. The theme I these bedrooms is firmly one of grays, whites and blacks. One bedroom graces either end of the living area, giving separation between sleeping spaces, while on the upper tier of the property, further separated, sits an individual bungalow. This is where you will find the third bedroom with its’ unique indoor/outdoor feel that includes ensuite. Beneath the main living level is the fourth bedroom, another spacious and exclusive retreat also with ensuite, allowing all eight guests to revel in their own private spaces.
